Getting to Aintree:
- M6 Southbound to Junction 26
- Follow signs for M58 Liverpool [Westbound]
- Follow Motorway all the way to the end (Traffic will potentially be queueing from here)
- It will be sign posted from here so please follow signs not your Sat Nav
- Take the A59 [Ormskirk Road] towards Aintree
- You will be directed to the drop off area [Aintree Shopping Park (off Aintree Way)]
DVLA Operations
At large events like this DVLA operate a stop check area to carry out assessments on Vehicles
If pulled over by a DVLA operative just follow their instructions and be friendly
They usually just do a 10minute safety check of the Vehicle and move you on
They may ask you some simple questions
If you dont know please don’t guess, but use this Driver Noticeboard – Link below for EU hours if required (unlikely)

If they find an issue they will inform you, and then please call the office for further instructions if required
They will be setup at the Retail Park, or they will notify you to pull over at Switch Island once you’ve dropped passengers off,
if this is the case please follow the directions below, taking the blue turning off your exit path – please DO NOT ignore their request and drive home.
Follow the green line into Aintree heading South, and the Red Line out heading North
