If you are unable to attend work due to sickness, you must report your absence as soon as reasonably possible by phone to the office on 01253 272205.
Texting in sick is not acceptable – you need to ensure you speak to someone so that it is actioned straight away.
Sickness up to 7 days
SSP is only paid from day 4, the first 3 days are classed as Waiting Days.

What you’ll get
You can get £116.75 a week Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) for up to 28 weeks.
Eligibility
To qualify for Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) you must:
be classed as an employee and have done some work for your employer
earn an average of at least £123 per week
have been ill for at least 4 days in a row (including non-working days)
Sickness over 7 days
Any sickness over 7 days must be confirmed by a sick note issued by one of the following healthcare professionals:
GP or Hospital doctor
Registered Nurse
Occupational Therapist
Pharmacist
Physiotherapist
The note can be printed or digital.
