To hold a valid DQC Card to enable you to drive you must complete 35hours of training every 5 years.
At Blackpool Minibuses we use Enterprise Training as our preferred instructor.
Each course can be completed either of two ways:
Full 7 hour day running from 08:00-16:00 (07:30 Registration, with 2 x 15minute breaks, and 30minute lunch)
2 x 3.5hour consecutive days from 18:00-21:45 (17:30 Registration, with 1 x 15minute break)
For every full year you are employed by us we will cover the cost of 1 course, which will need to be completed in your own time. Any previous training you have accrued before starting with us will still count towards your 35hours.
There are 5 different courses to complete which count towards your qualification and each course can only be completed once:
Driver & Workplace Health & Safety
Drivers Hours & Tachographs
Road Traffic Law & Enforcement
Safe Driving & Accident Procedures
Walk-Around Checks & Passenger Safety
Please note that any extra training required (More courses to be completed than numbers of years worked for us) must be paid for and completed by yourself.
