Drivers Card

You must tell the DVLA immediately if your card is lost, stolen, damaged or not working properly.

Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm

You must also apply for a replacement card within 7 days. (£19 for Replacement)

After you’ve reported it

You can only drive for up to 15 Days without a drivers card – you must have reported it to the DVLA first as they will supply you with a code to give to DVLA if your pulled over to prove your eligible to drive without it.

After 15 days if your replacement hasn’t arrived you will NOT be able to drive

You must also Notify the Office as soon as you’ve informed for DVLA


Drivers Qualification Card

To get a replacement card (sometimes called a ‘driver qualification card’ or ‘DQC’), contact the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and give your:

Name

Driving Licence Number

Date of Birth

Address

Telephone Number

You need a credit or debit card to pay the £25 fee.

You can contact DVSA by email or phone. If you email, DVSA will call you back to collect the fee.

After you’ve applied

You can keep driving professionally while you wait for your replacement Driver CPC card to arrive.

It will be sent to the address on your driving licence.

If it doesn’t arrive

Call DVSA if it doesn’t arrive within 20 days.
